additional information follow last question on Oct 19,2010:
Jmeter can record script automatically by http proxy server in workbench if I browse the company intranet website, but if I try to logon to peoplesoft and process some function, it didn't record anything . I didn't find the reason . - SuC

JMeter version is 2.4 r961953, I followed the guideline of this web site and try to start proxy server in workbench to record test script, but it didn't record anything for me.
I think maybe this step isn't correct maintain: Select the HTTP Request Default object. Enter the server name that you?ll be using, the port number, and the default protocol
If I want to test Peoplesoft HCM, should I fill the servername of peoplesoft application sever ?

I am trying to use Jmeter 2.4 to do the performance test of PeopleSoft HCM 9.1. I followed the guideline of this web site and record the script is OK. However, when I replay the script, I encounter problem when it go to specific function after logon page. (e.g. go to maintain Badge page). The returned playback log seems that I redirected to the logon page again. I tried to replace the ICSID and ICSSTATE variable but it’s the same. Anybody has tried this before? Any Suggestions? Thanks you very much! - DM

For people wishing to create scripts manually, the 'Cookies must be enabled' error is easily fixed - on your http request config element, you must untick 'Redirect Automatically' and tick 'Follow Redirects' and 'Use Keepalive'.

Having said that, the proxy is much easier to use. - Richard
