Here are some handy links if you're interested in coming up with a starting point for your fresh PeopleSoft installation or you'd like to upgrade your hardware:

AIX:  http://www-03.ibm.com/support/techdocs/atsmastr.nsf/WebIndex/PRS1617

HP:  http://www.peoplesoft-hp.com/sizers/enterprise/engine/index.asp

Dell:  http://www.dell.com/downloads/global/solutions/DELL_PeopleSoft_Sizing.doc

SUN:  I couldn't find it, but http://www.sun.com/third-party/global/oracle/psoft/index.jsp had other Sun/Oracle info so I might have missed it.  Also, peoplesoft_sizing@sun.com used to be the e-mail address for info -- it may still work.

I know I didn't cover them all, so please leave a comment if you know where the other sizing docs are.

Performance and Sizing
written by Héctor Carreón, August 11, 2009
Hello Brent,

I need to perform an estimation on a new HCM 9.0 implementation of the sizing and also to estimate the servers performance based on the transactions on the server.

People told me that all that information used to be at Customer Connection, however the information is not at metalink3. Do you now where I can look for such information?

Thank you.

I don't think Customer Connection ever had much in the way of hardware sizing information -- PeopleSoft largely left it up to the customers and their hardware vendors.

But from what I can tell the most information on Metalink3 is under the knowledge tab. The link under "Upgrades, Planning and Implementation" is good, especially the "Plan" document. Also review the "Platform Certifications" link as well as the appropriate "Application Benchmark Reports".

The benchmark reports are also available at http://www.oracle.com/apps_ben...esoft.html.
